How this calculator works
Platforms show you gross pay, but your real profit is what is left after the costs of keeping your car on the road. Simple mode subtracts fuel from your earnings and divides by your hours and distance. Advanced mode also counts unpaid driving, waiting time, maintenance, depreciation, a share of monthly costs like insurance and your phone, platform fees and a tax set-aside.
Tips for a more accurate result
Count every hour you were logged in, not only active trips, and every mile or kilometre you drove, including to pickups. Use your car's real fuel economy rather than the sticker number. Maintenance, tire and depreciation figures vary a lot by vehicle, so use your own numbers if you have them. The tax figure is a rough set-aside, not tax advice, so check your local rules or ask an accountant.
Estimates only. Results depend on the numbers you enter.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as an expense?
Fuel or charging, maintenance and tires, depreciation, extra insurance, your phone plan, tolls, parking and any platform fees that are not already taken out of your pay.
Why is my profit per hour lower than my app shows?
Apps usually show gross pay and often count only active time. Waiting, unpaid driving and the cost of running your vehicle are not in that number, but they are all in this calculator.
Should I use Simple or Advanced mode?
Simple mode is a quick check that only subtracts fuel. Advanced mode adds vehicle wear, depreciation, insurance, fees and taxes, which gives a fuller picture if you are deciding whether the work is worth doing.
Is the information I enter stored anywhere?
The calculations run in your browser and the numbers you enter are not sent to us. Only your unit and currency choice is remembered on your device.
